Called *:30am Sat. & CIS just said Washington, DC-When answered, got a recording stating her name was Mary something & we or our "attorney of record" needed to return the call asap or something about our "case" will be sent to a different department & repeated the importance of us, or our attorney returning the call-I have a hard time believing this is how the IRS would contact ANYONE & highly believe it is a scam. We've NEVER had any problems with the IRS which leads me to even think more this is a scam. I would think the CID would state IRS-tried to do reverse search & only come up with this is a landline number, but no name or other info found. Haven't found any sites with any other complaints regarding this number either , so thought I'd leave my comment. I WILL be calling IRS Monday to find out what the deal is with this.
