caller stating my brother in an accident and cant talk. i have no brother, he then said your son. i have no son..........sounds like a scam

Got a call on 11/16/2013 from this number from Bedford MA ..Hispanic accent guy .. says that my brother got into and accident .. i said i have no brother .. he said its a your father.. and asked my fathers name .. which i told some random name.. he told that his brother hit his car and is a drug dealer so after hitting he told not to call the police but my father called the police so he hit him and he has made him a hostage in his house and has a gun on his head. if i don't pay $1500 for car repair !! ( lamest reason i have ever herd for extortion!! )hes gonna shoot .. hahah .. crap .. i shut off the phone.. beware of this guy

My parents received the same call this morning. Man called saying that my fathers brother had been in an accident. My father responded that he didn't have a brother. Then he said that he meant his father had been in an accident. At this point we hung up. Hopefully nobody falls for this scam!
