Called my office and stated he was Andy Vargas from the law firm in California, a coworker took his number down and he said that XXXXXX (my name) has a pay day loan, and my coworker said "do you realize that your are calling a business and you don't know who you are talking to?" He said "yes, we can do that. You are her employer and we are calling to notify you that she has a payday loan and it concerns her paycheck." Same day, at home, I have a message from another Andy Vargas with a thicker accent and he's yelling "do not ingnore this phone call." "Return the call." "If you do not return the call I will wish you good luck with what will come down on you." Do these idiots honestly think that we believe a real attorney would talk to someone like that? Especially the first phone call. Wish he would call back, I'd like to blow an air horn in his ear! I called my attorney, this is definitely a scam.

just called us said my husband was a suspect we returned a mr reeds call...said we got a payday loan of 600.00 didnt pay it back now we owe 5284..only pay day loan we had came out of our account. when we told him that he didnt want to discuss...ask why we got money then never paid it back...any pay day loan i know of comes from your account ach.......mr reed doesnt speak clear english for us to understand...this is first call

I got the same call but thought she said her name was Annie Johns. I returned the call and the guy I spoke to read an affidavit of charges against me including money laundering and wire fraud. He acted surprised that I had not already been briefed on this case and said the trial was set for Friday morning. He then went on to read me my miranda rights and said I should turn myself in and tell the officers what I've done. This is the point I lost my temper and won't repeat what I said but before I hung up on him he recited my work number and said he was going to call my boss and tell them what I've done.

I just got the same phone call could not even understand the name, called the number back and the "Subscriber is no longer in the area to receive the call".
