I received a text from a mobile number 661.249.3020 telling me of a fraud alert on my SunTrust account, and that my debit card has been restricted. The text asked me to call 866.223.0098 “to verify your account.” Instead, I called the fraud report number on the SunTrust website and they assured me that this was a fraudulent text. Also, the fact that the text was sent to me at 11:39 pm was a clue that it was a fraud. The lady at SunTrust said they would never text after 9 pm.
