Sending text message that my Truist card was used in different locations and to visit a link they sent. 1. Did not follow their trick. 2. I don't bank with Truist.
I'm suspecting scam or collection. I don't have any collection so I'm not sure they used a previous name. When I called back it was a voice mail. But was odd.
Caller ID identified this phone number as the source of a call to demand immediate payment of a utility bill of a given amount is paid right now service will be cut off in 30 minutes, except all of our utility bills are paid promptly so a scam is probable. Our utilities also do not operate this way. It would not surprise me if this is even a burner phone.
They questioned my 4.5 yr old child that had answered my phone. My child said the person they were asking for was not here. Then they started asking her more questions. (Ie. If she knew the person, and what her name was and what parents names were, etc.) My child said she didn't know the person and then she hung up and went back to playing her learning game on my phone.
