I answered the phone but no one responded and then I heard a recording say good bye. Why? What does that accomplish? I guess they just like annoying people. Whatever.
Caller ID just showed "NONE" as caller. Caller hung up after answer machine was done talking. I find 2 complaints on 2 different complaint sites made less than 24 hrs ago against this caller. One complaint stated caller wanted money for the police troopers. The other stated caller wanted to reduce credit card interest. Call is from Arcanum, Ohio
Another web with complaints, they claim call was about past due bills.
I have excellent credit, all my bills are paid for in full each month & I have not had any late ones in many many MANY years.
I do not give my cell phone number out to businesses.
This is nothing more than a scam coming from someplace in Utah.
called three times in two days, claiming to be from the IRS. said if I didn't pay my back taxes that they will have me arrested. don't earn enough to owe taxes.
I can only guess this is a scammer. It was a robocall stating it was the IRS and they were filing a lawsuit against me and wanting me to call this number, which was the same number that called me in the first place. If it was a true call, it would have been a person, not a machine.
yes, me too. they have been calling a lot of people in New Jersey.I should return their call and given them my social security number and mothers maiden name. Heck, why not my whole family?
I have been receiving telephone calls from 989-244-0623 on a daily basis. This morning the calls started at approximately 7 a.m. and have continued every 3 to 4 minutes. I do not answer them if they are not in my contact list and if its a business matter I do not deal with the telephone I want communication delivered only through the US Postal Service as I not not trust people and have found business people to be compulsive liars.

They look for valid phone numbers to sell to telemaketers.
