They called out my name then asked if he could help me but I told him you called me, and so I hung up, I then tried to call back but the number was disconnected, I'm guessing it was telemarketers I have no idea how they knew my name. I get these calls all the time.
No live voice. Recording begins immediately. "Don't hang up. This is an important call from your utility company. You are qualified for..."
Then I hung up the phone.
Caller Id came up Groveland, FL. He said He was from FLorida Association of State Troopers-because I couldn't hear person after he said he was from FL State Patrol & Troopers Association. There wasn't anyone there at first, it took a bit for him to come the line after I answered and then I couldn't hear him... I wondered if it was a real call to raise funds or not; I tried reverse lookup and it's an unpublished landline. He didn't call back.
calls every day ive blocked him with my phone service, If you don't answer he doesn't leave message, hes looking for money for fake charity according to other people
Guy (sounded like an african-american male) claimed to be trying to collect a fine of $512.97 from another state. The callerd got the name wrong and provided no details - except the amount. The number appears to be currently assigned to a T-Mobile phone.

Do not even answer this call. They want your social security number. They tell you they need it to send you your free knee brace. Then they rip you off.
This person Contacted my sister looking for me, and I have never been to Georgia in my life... I think this is a case of mistaken identity. I just as confused as to how he got my sisters phone number... he told her he was a private investigator working for a prosecuting attorney. I find that odd, for I have not been into trouble for over 15+ years... now this. It throws up red flags....
I received a call from the above number. The callers had a middle eastern accent. They were claiming to be able to decrease the interest rate on my credit cards for a fee of $998. When I asked questions, the caller became rude and actually said"shut up and get off the phone, and thank you for the $998." Please beware. These people actually sounded legitimate at first.
They were indian, claiming to be from the IRS, aggressive, rude, threatening imprisonment for back taxes. I called them out for being a SCAM and they immediately hung up on me.
Then I hung up the phone.
