They answer the phone when you call back the number as the u.s. treasury department, then when you ask why they keep calling you, they say, don't call here and hang up. Really?! I don't think that the u.s. treasury department would say that. They all have Indian accents.
Wells Fargo, student loan entity.
This is a call center wishing to seek clients who are behind on student loan payments.
We asked to be removed from their calling list because the number they are calling is a business.
Bethany said that this is the number someone must have given them so that is why they are calling.
Bethany said she will do a search of the phone number to see IF they can get the number removed from their system. If not.?
Wells Fargo is a large enough company that has the ability to remove a phone number from their system. Do the right thing and remove the incorrect number and don't call again. Thank you.
States a bench warrant has been issued for non-appearance for jury duty, fine will be $985.00 unless you pay by "Pay Pal My Cash" and provide receipt number to caller, Lt. Brian Allen. Then jury duty date will be rescheduled and a refund issued.
Keep getting calls from this number, can barely understand what it's saying. Then who or whatever it is gets angry when you can't understand their blubbering or that they've called the wrong number.
Calling with fraudulent emergency car accident story (car hitting a 17 yr old on motorcycle drive)involving holding a loved one who is being held at gun point, all to collect a large ransom. Cell phone is from Orlando and is 407-257-5574
This number was given in an online order using our stolen credit card number. The package was delivered to our house and then attempted to be re-routed by the shipping company.
They are a scam. They are posing as the IRS. They tell you that you owe taxes and that you need to pay to avoid having a debt filed at the court house and to avoid arrest. Do NOT take the bait. Tell them they are a scammer and hang up.
called number back rec'd automated message that did not specify which company, just a message "thank you for returning our call. If you rec'd our call by accident, please press 2 to be removed from our calling list, thank you"
Not sure how we are to determine if we were called by accident when they do not identify themselves. Smells fishy to me.
This person keeps contacting my Aunt and making her all kinds of promises. She is older and lonely and I believe they are trying to scam her. We searched for the name he has given her and there is nothing found what so ever on this name in the area. Claims to own their own business and to buy her things take her on trips etc... Asking her for all kinds of info about herself, but gives no info of them self other then this false name. Contacted her threw a dating/meeting new people site she joined to make new friends. I think they know she is lonely and trying to get all her trust and info to scam her out of all she has. We have tried to call this person but no response to us and only contactes her late at night.
Possible wrong number, but I told them, You have the wrong number and if this is a prank, don't do it again, I have their number if they do and will report it. *I hung up then*
I received a call from 219-267-0960 with caller ID showing SSI. I let it go to my answering machine and no message was left. I looked the number up and I found that its a political survey. I dont like having my time interrupted by senseless calls and have blocked this number.
Caller indicates he is calling from the Treasury Department and demands "you put your work aside and call that number immediately. If they don't hear from you or your 'Trial Lawyer' right away, you will have local law enforcement on your doorstep to incarcerate you for seventy two hours! I feel this is a scam, as IRS only contacts by mail.
Has ads for kittens in puppies for sale in many, many different states at a very low price. When you contact them of course they are across the country and want you to send a cashiers check or money order. The number comes back to a landline in Bush, LA, but they claim to have moved from AZ to DE. From texting, you can tell it is several different people, as the spelling and sentence structure changes.
No Answer. Called back and said I could get off their Sales List by pressing 1. I have done this with at least 5 companies in the past week and same voice on get off sales list. Slimy Bastards.
I dont really know what this call was about. It was an automated robitic voice that was distorted. The only part I could make out was " 9 a.m. to 1 p m "
For the past week I have been receiving multiple calls each day from this number, but when I have picked up the phone (to tell whoever it is to remove me from their call list?!) there is no one at the other end.
