Claims they are collecting on a 12 year old debt. They have my new tag number in my home state and SS# and DL#. They also claim they will have me thrown in jail.
Text pretending to be the USPS, saying package cannot be delivered and is at warehouse until you give them your correct mailing address. Wanted you to reply, YES....to the text and follow instructions.
I clicked on a website. It froze my computer and said that they were microsoft and I needed to call them at the number listed above. I did not call, microsoft does not do these things. I have anti virus and anti malware, the banner said I was infected, but I am not.
They keep calling on a daily basis. It is a robotic women's voice leaving a voicemail: "This is a very urgent and time sensitive message from SRS. Please kindly return our call using the number on your caller ID as soon as possible to be connected with a live representative, who may better assist you. Again please return our call at your earliest convenience. Thank you and have a wonderful day."
Third call from "BENSALEM PA" in less than a week (only the last 4 digits being different). First 2 went to voicemail but no message was left either time. This time? Picked up & hung up. Called all 3 back on a "safe" phone; 2 failed (!) and this one had a message saying to call back from the # THEY called (yeah, pull the OTHER leg...).
Caller ID just said "BENSALEM PA". No message was left, even though call was flagged as having gone to voicemail. Got a similar call (same caller ID a couple of days before, and then another one this morning). Guessing spam.
Didn't recognize # so picked up and hung up immediately on suspicion of it being spam. Don't even know where "SAYRE PA" is -- let alone know anyone who might live there.
Received this call, labelled 'potential spam.' They left a message claiming they were Wellcare, my prescription drug program, and to call them back at 866-327-2455. I checked with Wellcare. Neither of those numbers are theirs. I had just received a breach notice from Blue Cross, so most likely the scammers got my info from that. Be careful! Ask questions! Do NOT give out info before checking!! Sad.
Someone named Tiffany texted me from this number to set up a telephone job interview. She did not identify her organization. We agreed on a date and time but she never called nor has she sent any more texts. Be careful.
Claimed to be microsoft
