Received an email from Canva with an invoice from PayPal for $395. This number was listed as a 'contact us' number on the email. This is most certainly a fraud attempt.
The Scammer/Fraudster is this website. My father helped open the ALOC Gallery in the early 2000s. If it was open for three years I am exaggerating, but it has been closed since around 2005. He passed in 2016. This website HAS NOT 'BeenVerified'.
I called this # from a pop up on my computer. They wanted remote access to my computer as in my internet password. I have used remote access before and know there are other ways without giving out my password. The guy had an Indian accent, was rude with me and didn't even try to verify that he was legit.
Person "Jason Roy" pretending to be from LoanCare mortgage trying to get information about loan motifcation, threatening that I'm going to lose my house. They had a recent cyber attack and I'm not behind in payments.
This person has called me 5 times 3 in one day once yesterday and once this morning. Sounds elderly speaking an Asian language. When I say wrong number he repeats it and I hang up. I’ve blocked the number now.
Gets your number from somewhere and does a search for your name and address. Calls claiming he runs and escort company and he has gotten complaints from "his girls" about you and he is going to send his people to your house to murder you and your family if you don't send him money. Claims he has police and fbi in his pocket and can get all your info.
Never said a word. I said hello. Silence. I said hello again. Silence, and then a hang up. Either a wrong number and an impolite response after realizing that, or maybe a scammer. My guess is a wrong number. The scammers usually don't hang up until you give them answers they don't want, or ask them questions they don't like.
Caller ID said "ALLENTOWN PA" -- just like a similar call yesterday from the same area code/exchange (can't be a coincidence). Only 1 hit of the 6 on a Google search was legit as well (a site like this) -- the rest? "Blogs" with fake sounding names which might not even be ON the sites if you go to them....
this person added my number, without permission, to an open list of telephone numbers included in a political outreach. I now have access to 19 other unknown people's numbers and they have mine! NOT COOL!
Another call from "NEEDMORE PA" from this area code. Another # added to the ticket filed with the FCC (and the main "carriers of record" ALSO got mentioned prominently...).
Received this after applying to several jobs on linkedin, didn't leave a voicemail. I received another call from a West Linn landline about 30 minutes later. Same thing 30 minutes later. I don't think it is the company who magically reviewed my application in a hour jumping to offer me an interview.
