Texter trying to buy racing dirt bike posted on Craigslist. Can't come pick up. Wants to do PayPal and $900 extra for shipping. I said cash only. Apologetic and assured me there was enough money in the account. I suggested postal money order because that would make it a federal crime if they wanted to scam.
US treasury dept - right....dont fall for this. Scammer with a foreign accent. If you call the person out on it they end up threatening you and your family.
Rep would not identify himself but knew my first name and was overly familar (like he had known me for years). I push him to identify his affilation and he told me a winery I used to be affliated with. I asked which one, he said you know one in Napa...Napa, CA. I told him not to ever call my number again. I did reasearch and this may be a rep from winetasting.com but I am not certain of this.
caller claims they have papers to serve me. gave me a ss# that is not mine I told them that several times. They also called my daughters house and cell as well asmy daughterinlaws
Calling to lower the interest rate on my credit card. Press 1 to speak with a rep, when they answer, I ask to be taken off their calling list and they hang up. EVERY TIME!
I have received calls from this number at least 5 times each day during the last week. They do not leave a message. The caller ID shows they call at 8:17am, 8:22am, 8:32am....etc. Its ridiculous.

This person scammed me and my boyfriend out of 400.00 dollars.. 400.00! She claimed she was renting a place than asked for the deposit and never communicated with me!
Called our cell phone at 7 am, women with Chinese accent says. You eat to much buffet food and don't come back. We haven't ate buffet Chinese food for months
This person associated with this phone number 202-666-9144 identified himself as a member of the US Govt Grant department and said that I had been randomly selected to receive a Grant for $1600 or something like that. I kept asking him why he wanted to talk to me and he eventually started telling me he wanted to do something sexual to me. I told him I was going to report his number and he hung up. This individual called my phone number about 4 times this day 10-8-2014.
Received numerous calls that I did not answer because the number was not recognized. Finally I answered the call on 10/08/14 and a man stated he was calling to finalize the personal loan I applied for. The name of the bank and the caller were both not clear enough to hear. I have not applied for any loans. When I told the caller I thought he was a scammer, he hung up.
When I answered all I heard was a periodic beep. They called back several more times over the next few minutes. Must have been some computerized system with bad programming.
This number replied to an add I posted in WESTERN CANADA looking for a job. The reply that he gave wasn't even related to the job skills I had posted. He said his name is Davis Moore, and that he has a cleaning job for me if I am interested....when I had posted a special needs respite resume. There was no other details given, just his name and a gmail address.
Someone keeps calling from this number and asking for me. When I say that it is me they laugh and say "We come to this country and you treat us like shit." Then I hang up. It is disturbing to say the least. I haven't any idea who it is.
Same as many others before me. Always happens as soon as I post or repost my CraigsList ad. Shows as a California number but he said he is in Las Vegas. Interested in buying my motorcycle so he could sell it through his company. Unlike other attempted scams for my ad, he called instead of texting.
SCAM! This number (and others listed here) contacted me in response to an ad on CraigsList for a Harley motorcycle. Happened as soon as I posted or reposted the ad. No questions regarding condition or price. Just wanted set up pick up and to give me my money. Wants to use PayPal, wants my email and account info, wants to pay me extra for the person to haul it since they are not local. Does not want to talk in person for various reasons. Look out for the following numbers that use similar stories, including the one about the Military guy who is overseas and wants to buy it for his loving father as a surprise. The numbers are: 323-844-5611, 224-795-4611, 208-903-8964. This next one (818-738-7798 ) is a telemarketer with about 80 online reports. I’m sure there will be more numbers to come, but the story is about the same.
