An individual called my cell phone from this number telling me I was listed as a reference for one of my former co-workers and left a "reference number" and instructed me to return the call to a 1-888 number. My former co-worker confirmed that he did not use me for a reference, nor has he applied for work anywhere in over 5 years because he is an active duty soldier. The background sounded like it was coming from a busy place with a lot of noise in the background-like a call center. It doesn't make sense, if this was a ligitimate reference search they would not ask me to return the call to a 1-888 number and provide me with a "reference number".
This is supposedly a mortgage company calling to get me to refinance. I have asked them numerous times to stop calling me, as I am not interested. They typically just rudely hang up on me as soon as I start asking to be removed from their phone list. They obviously do not remove me from their list and they refuse to stop calling. In fact, they have called me 4 times just in the past week!
1/13/14: They called seven times in a little more than an hour. I don't know this no., and never answered - filed it under 'spam' with a silent ring tone.
"Window Care Support" Agent called alerting me of a hacker threat to my PC. Trying to get me to type in a code. SCAM! Hang up if anyone calls you about hackers trying to get into your computer. They are the hackers!
Keeps calling with a message to lower my credit card intrest rate. I have asked them repeatedly to stop calling. They are offering a service I do not want nor need. Majority of the times if I wait for a person, that person hangs up when I ask to be removed from their list. So how do I get them to stop calling?&%$$!!
Not sure how they got my number but claimed to be calling from Education First in helping me with my interest to go back to college. I graduated from college more than 20 years ago. As soon as I said I graduated from college a long time ago, they hung up quickly. They are phishing numbers and people to scam.
claims they are with windows trying to breach your security code, I called windows and reported it to them, as well as they told me that it was a scam trying to access my computer to heck into my security codes
Very rude. Calls on my cell phone and when I said I was on the "do not call list" the guy on the phone said (in a very nasty tone) It doesn't matter and I'll tell you why. That's when I hung up. When you try to call the number back it says to be removed from their calling list leave a message with your name and number but then it says the mailbox is full! Infuriating. I would like to get in touch with this company but I can't find there name I just have the phone number.
Pervert. Says really explicit sexual stuff. Not sure but sounds like he might be mentally handicapped. Have threatened turning over to law and he hangs up but a few months later he'll call back. Been happening since spring 2013.
They offered services that would evaluate damage and give pricing for repairs.
Never heard of them, but there hasn't been any storm in our area (Mobile) in weeks that would cause damage of any kind to warrant a survey team.
They've called at least 4 times in the past 5 days, name shows as unknown and different numbers each time.
i applied for a credit loan over the internet then this man named chris martin or thats what he said his name was called me from 1-917-965-8160 and said i was approved for a loan up to 5,00 so i decided to try for it. he then said i had poor credit so i'd have to make my first installment first to show some good faith to the lender. so i did i sent him 245.00 on a green dot money pack that is non-refundable. then he said in an hour and a half the money would be in my account and its been two days now and no money he refuses to give me the 245.00 i paid him and they wont answer the phone now. i called the police and made a report and called the better business bureau. i am trying to find an address for them because he refuses to patch me threw to his supervisor and wouldnt give me the address and i couldnt understand what company name he said but now he wont tell me it again cuz i called the police.
Said it was a "courtesy" call but wouldn't say who from. I wouldn't confirm my name until they told me who they were calling for. They were rude and I hung up. I called the # on caller id and they still wouldn't tell me who the "courtesy" call was for.
Reason unknown.

Please see what you can do to stop the calls.
