They claimed to have business with me but wouldn't reveal what.they did not identify themselves and immediately started trying to get my personal info. I.E. social , name and address. Appears to be an attempt at social engineering hack
Called and said if my name was Machyo Cutter to call within the next four hours or they would contact my employer to start garther information to garnish wages. Also stated there was a legal action against Mr. Cutter and could result in a restraining order. Glad I read the comments below, as I was going to call and let them know they had the wrong number. Scam for sure
I started getting this (715) 861-7078 on Oct. 25th at 7:57 p.m. but the person hung up when no one at home picked it up. My family lives at the Pacific coast. I noticed the caller ID said it was from Wisconsin of all places--very late in the evening from there! The person called again on Oct. 28th at 2:08 p.m. but hung up. The person called again the same evening but at 8:09 p.m. I picked up the phone. The man on the end asked for my first name (how did the person know my name?). I do not know anyone from Wisconsin asking for me, and especially at weird hours of the night from. I think the time is past 10:00 p.m. their time. When the man asked for me, I just hung up the phone and did not answer. Our phone number is unlisted, and I wonder how the caller got it and asking for me. Our phone number put on the Do Not Call list years ago. I added it again but do not know if that would help.
Repeatedly called a client who had filed bankruptcy. Caller said the client was being sued. Client told caller she had a lawyer and had filed bankruptcy. The caller did not care and continued to call asking who their attorney was. Attorney called and they asked for state bar number and then hung up. Will not give out address or name of attorney they work for. It is a telemarketing scam.
This caller is a scammer ... calls saying that he is from Windows and noticed your computer is slow and can fix it. Wants you to download teamviewer so he can get full access to your PC - then wants you to go out and buy a $200 GreenDot card to pay him with - TOTAL SCAM!
I have received this call two evenings in a row, supposedly from an inmate named "Tim" and wanting me to register with a credit card to receive a Collect Call from him. I did not respond as I know no one who is incarcerated, let alone Tim in a Houston Jail.
Calls several times a day and says nothing. Just another boor bast.. That gets his highs hearing other folks voices on the phone. Bet anything that the poor creep has been in mental health treatment.
A person from this number just left a message on my voicemail at work saying I had four hours to return this call. This person said that they had a claim against me that involved a restraining order and needed the respondent to answer. It appears to be a scam. I have had this happen in the past and when I provided my home and work address no one ever showed up to serve me papers. I think they try to use fear to scam money from people. When I tried to return the call, I got a message that the voicemail box was full.
If you see this number on craigslist selling anything, beware, it is fraud and they do not actually have legit items such as event tickets. We were duped by this guy and his partner selling fake tickets. He and his partner DJ @ 3125601697 are scam artist
