Caller said they were a collection company, but refused to give their business name. They did not sound professional at all and only wanted my personal information and SSN etc.
I think they were attempting to perpetrate a scam.
Ok this makes the 12th time this guy with a Indian or Pakestan accent has called. He using a cell phone this time. Saying that he is from Windows Mirosoft. If you get a call do not answer any questions tell him you will report him. the cell phone number is 2538203089. My phone company said these are scammer and poofers who can jump from one phone number to another.
This caller said calling from South Carolina Sheriff office and this area code is Winston Salem so anyone that sees this number come up be aware they are scammers because the sheriff office dont make calls like that. Left voicemail and you could not even understand who they wanted.
This phone number called my stolen phone and asked for Shelia. I did not get any more information, however, I did provide the number and name to the police.
I recently purchased a cell phone and services from MetroPCS and had it activated on 6-13-12. Upon arriving to my home's drive, I get my first phone call. Already I started getting collection calls of the previous owner of my phone number. Figures. Most of the people with Metropcs probably are people who have collection agencies after them. Great. I called them twice, and supposedly they were going to take me off their database, but nope.
Answering ads on kijij worth big $. Claims to be a marine biologist in Quebec working at sea which is untrue seeing this is a land line from New Jersey. Have found others on web who tell the same story. Have not heard if anyone has followed thru and actually lost money but would like to know. Could be they are just losers playing head games or something way more devious. Beware!
