This number sent me a text message. I don't know this number. The text presented as being from my spouse. We were asleep when this text message was sent. So, this seems like a fraud.
on my caller ID is shows NYC Dept of Edu - which I know is not for real.. so damned tired of all these calls, I get id's showing Calvary Hospital, people's names, etc. sometimes up to 20 a day.
On the other side of the phone, an automatic computer voice spoke saying something on the lines of: "Please do not hang up, this call is about your request for a medical brace. Please press ` 1 ` to continue."
I am confused and bothered to say the least. I NEVER requested a medical brace nor require one and on the off-chance that I did, I'd do research my own research and I'd make the calls not await odd incoming-calls like this one.
Person called my elderly mother claiming to have the flu, said they had an accident and were in jail, and wanted her to give them $200. When I called the number, it said it was no longer in service.
Possibly running a scam through Match.com. Has been texting me from this number claiming to be in the US Marines, stationed in Kabul Afghanistan. He is using photos on his profile and sending me photos belonging to a person named Michael Cory Bristol from Tampa, FL.
Today, he has asked me to send him iTune gift cards.
This person has stolen my identity. A loan of mine was paid off by someone with this phone number (unsure of where the money came from), and they are now actively trying to make charges, pay off these charges, and open accounts using my personal information.
Claims to have something on my husband. Doesn't leave a company name. Is not a law office or else we would have found who's number this actually belongs to. Anyone know who it is please put name up on here so we all will know. I saw another post saying this number is offering credit cards or something along that line. I just want to know how they are getting our families numbers cause now they are harassing all of my family members.
Answered the call, a robot voice answered saying something on the lines of, "Do not hang up... we have important information containing to your health insurance".
Already I felt this was a telemarketer call because I already have health insurance and this caller never said what health insurance company they're working for. It seemed very suspicious so I ended the call.
Not sure if it's a scam or not, but it's a local number that plays an automated message claiming they have been trying to contact me about a student loan(I don't have any) and to press to talk to someone who sounds like they are on the other side of the world who hangs up when I asked why I'm getting calls when I have no student loans....
They were calling from a Dr. McManus office wanted to confirm an appointment for my daughter.. I’ve never made any appointments out of Gillette and they had my number associated with someone else’s records. Just seems fishy to me. I’d appreciate any insight!
