They called to say they were calling about service on my computer and that they wanted to show me what was wrong with my computer over the phone. I asked for his number so I could call back and they answer, "hello". Oh yes mame hello this is Windows Care...scam artists! Trying to do people into giving them remote access to their computer.
I don't answer calls from numbers which don't show any identification on my caller ID beyond the phone number. When I searched this number on line, I found its location, but nothing more. I have now blocked it.
They keep calling to sell me insurance. I've told them no 4 times and have asked them not to call again. His name is Andrew. So now he calls and doesn't say anything. He calls from # 's ending in 4847, 4848, 4849. First digits (843)751-4847, or 4848, or 4849. Of these #'s there are about 6 calls from each.
WATCH-Out Caller Possible Types: From Prison/Jail Call's to Telemarketer, to Phone Spy, to Scammer!
Location: Corner of Evergreen Ave NE & Chester AVE NE, Salem, Oregon.
Answer Message when called - A Recording says that the number is not "Indexed" (whatever that means). This could also very well be
either a Prison/Jail Collect Call, or, a PHONE SPY (that may install
a Tracking Script).
Scammer. Says you've won a free home security system and they need your credit card info to process it. They keep changing their number to skirt the do not call list.
A call from this number interrupted a phone conversation, and was still open when initial conversation ended. A return phone call got "this number not in service." Caller ID said "Tulsa financial" but is no such thing, and it is a San Antonio number. Map on this site shows Bexar county court house. Phone monitoring perhaps?
woman called wanting ssn and dob and stated she worked for an attorneys office after questioned why she asked this. when asked why she was calling, she said she could not give that information until I give her my information. TOO BAD.
This guy scammed me and other out of over $1000 between a farse Timeshare Company and an equally fake "transfer tax" to claim my sold time share...find, arrest, or at least block this email as soon as possible.
I believe that this person who has called is apart of a scam. Trying to obtain personal information from the people that they call. The man that I spoke to reluctantly gave me his name "Dan" and then hung up on me as soon as I asked him to hold on. This definitely is NOT a legitimate company.
I received a call from this number and immediately called back as I didn't get to the phone fast enough. When I called back it said number disconnected or no longer in use. How can that happen?
