I believe that this person who has called is apart of a scam. Trying to obtain personal information from the people that they call. The man that I spoke to reluctantly gave me his name "Dan" and then hung up on me as soon as I asked him to hold on. This definitely is NOT a legitimate company.
I received a call from this number and immediately called back as I didn't get to the phone fast enough. When I called back it said number disconnected or no longer in use. How can that happen?
They knew my name and obviously my cell phone number and had been questioning me about a good friend of mine that is currently going through rough patches. They refuse to tell me who they are and it's not a comforting feeling. I'll leave it at that.
Calls all times of the day and night. Heavy breathing, garbled speech in a few languages, soft whispers then loud music. Annoying and does not seem to be deterred.
Kept calling and hanging up. Said that I won a bed and pillow and asked if someone could come out and give me a demonstration. Then asked me to hold on, and then clicked back over quickly and gave me 10:00 on Monday. Knew my address. I enter a lot of contests, so I guess they got my info from that.
This is ONE of MANY Verizon Wireless Phone Calls I get almost DAILY... as they are Bored and Bothersome, harassing me with these calls due to my complaints of No Service and Poor Reception (3G And Cellular Coverage) since I have received 11 Blackberry BOLD 9930 Cell Phones (Replacement Phones) since April Fool's Day. My Wife & I have been with their wireless service since Dec. 2008 and have had 2 instances like this - and we always pay our Full Bill.. never late, either. I have gone through 18 of their replacement Phones since Dec. '08 and still have only had ONE phone which lasted almost 3-1/2 yrs. with little issues. Now, they are harassing me again, calling and the # they use is either disconnected or has No mail box set up... always says Verizon Wireless... and I do not know anyone in Portland, Me. or any of the other 12+ cities they call from.
Daily calls and messages for the past couple of months! Message left is a recording saying "This is Henry Hoover." No other info and I have no idea who that is. I have blocked them from my phone but they somehow manage to get through.
This number has been calling at least twice a day every day for the past month. My sister also uses my phone when I am not available and these people who are calling are rude to her and refuse to say where they are calling from. But I just called the number and a woman told me that I owe money for a Smart Shoppers club. I have NO IDEA what that even is! And we're talking $500+ dollars. The lady I just spoke to said I would be removed from their call list and apologized. Sounds like a scam. Guess I am the victim!
Calling my phone all times of the day/night till 1:40 AM in the morning after answering the phone and them "knowing" it is a wrong number that they are calling. We don't know these people or how we got to be lucky enough to be selected, but it is old already.
Is an aggressive telemarketer for various insurance packages, who is rude and refused to let me speak to her manager to remove me from her calling list - in fact hung up on me several times. Ethically challenged people like this are sad.
