Absolute fraud. They said they were Amazon and my account had been charged $1200. While on the phone I checked my amazon and bank accounts and no activity was there. They were responding really oddly when I asked them questions, so I figured out it was fake pretty quickly. I kept them on the line for as long as I could so maybe it can stop them from doing it to someone else.
called from "prosecutors" office about a "case considered for legal action". no detail, no company address a complete fraud.
They are call me and my sister multiple times a day.
They didn't leave a message. My feeling is if it is important enough to call, it's important enough to leave a message, even if Millenials don't hold to that feeling. So, any call from a number I don't know without a message is considered spam.
Answering machine message said I had won Publishing Clearing House 2nd prize of over $2,000,000.00. Then said to call (866) 828-8972 for details of how to collect. I have never entered this sweepstakes in 70 years. It is a scam. Caveat emptor.
