Probably a "stolen" residential phone number. Automated voice on other end claims to be Amazon calling to let me know that an order has been placed in the amount of $1,499.00 on my account. They are placing a "hold" on this and advised that I press "1" to speak with customer service. I Hung Up!!
It is against the law to call telemarketing on Sunday. This number has called many times about selling our property. This number should be charged with a violation.
I believe I may have gotten a scam call. The caller said she was from Medicare and asked if I received my card, to which I said yes, and then the caller hung up. I'm worried my account has been compromised.
Scammers pretending to be from Chase Bank and telling me there is some kind of problem with my credit. I have never had an account at Chase Bank. Also, they did not ask for me by name, just started the spiel when I answered, obviously they try this with anyone and everyone and if someone actually has a Chase account they may fall for it. In between talking to me, the person spoke to others around her in Chinese.
