Spoofed Numbers: Caution, 614-230-0074 is a "spoofed" number, which means that whoever called you "tricked" your caller ID to display an incorrect phone number. Telemarketers do this so you cannot complain, but they failed... you can still file a complaint here to fight back against unethical telemarketers.
4 calls in 3 days from this number claiming to be calling about a "legal petition notice of tax fraud." Each message was exactly the same - word for word. One reverse lookup service showed a map of where the owner of the number was located, and the map was in China. (Even though the number is clearly a Virginia area code.)
I got a call from them 3 days ago... I googled the number and saw the scams related to the voicemail I received, its the same one, computerized from a nicki Johnson....I called back, it took about 5 tries to get through and a man calling himself 'mark' answered, (no irs prompts or i.d.) I said, im returning your call. he asks what number they called, I said the one im calling you on now.. he asked about a Richard willis, I said, he isn't available right now and just as I was going to tell him that Richard died in 2011, he said please have him return the call and have a good day(as he spoke over me) and hung up.... lols purchasing old phone records are we??
im tempted to call him back and say you have just won a prepaid trip to levanworth Kansas, 3 square meals a day, cozy accommodations in a gated community! the bunko division of the fbi has an escort coming to pick you up as we speak.....

Tried to scam me for a $973 money order. Claimed I had to stay on the line until I delivered the requested money order. Wouldn't give me a call-back number.

This supposed company keeps calling me to list my business. I don't have a business.
I try pushing the voice mail buttons to get on their do not call list but then they call from a different number. I am already on the national do not call list.
Woman with accent stated I had been awarded grant by government for $10,000 that I wouldn't have to repay. When I told her I thought it was a scam and would report, she hung up on me before I could finish sentence.
