Claims they are from a legal firm. Asks you about bladder slings and medications. Will call you from one number and when you hang up on them they call you from another number within 1 to 2 minutes. Voice is very distinguishable. If you still don't speak with them, they call you a foul names.
Put me on the list of those who received the same message on my home phone today. Needless to say, I'm ignoring it as I know the IRS would never leave such a automated message. However, I am very annoyed that someone else who receives this message might take it seriously and call them back giving personal information. I looked up both the caller ID number which is located in Newman, Calif. and the number left to call back is in Alton, Illnois....I'm contacting my local Assemblymen to alert to this scam...
called me about a Craigslist ad from California that's where I live. and now that I see that this call is from Florida I can most likely guarantee you that its a scam
I got a similar call today and left a message asking about the veracity of the call with my tax preparer. I assume it's a scam--the I.R.S. wouldn't use an unpublished number and leave a message without using my name.
Woman's voice on recording talking like I was the one who placed the call & stated if I reached that number in error, please hang up.
I wasn't the one who called that fake number, that fake cell phone number called me.

I had the same experience as the other commenter. The person left a message saying there was a tax fraud case against me and I needed to call back immediately. They referred to the IRS and Homeland Security. The caller had a very bad accent and was difficult to understand.
I have received multiple calls from this number and most of the time i ignore it but the two times i have chosen to answer, the man was very rude. The first time he started getting demanding & upset. The 2nd time i chose to answer, I told him i didnt apply to further my education and then he started making lewd and sexual phrases
called saying my husband owes 600.00 for a loan to a bank we used to bank at in 2011 but wouldn't tell us who the people suing him they said it was for an online loan deposited in our checking account
The caller is pretending to be from the IRS and that you are in trouble and better call as soon as you get this message. A total scam, everyone should know by now the IRS does not call you, they send you notifications.
This is a call from Kohl's corporation. They have several numbers that are disguised 800 numbers. I suppose they think people will answer if they think it is an actual person. I am not behind on my payments so really resent the intrusion. Because of these unsolicited calls I am cancelling my Kohl's credit card and will not shop at Kohl's in the future. They have cheaply made merchandise anyway.
Scam number. The guys says he is from the "legal department of the Department of Treasury". Leaves messages on my phone. Total scam-he can barely say his title.
This number is a scam saying they are the IRS and that you are being sued. The IRS only has 800 numbers and this guy speak middle eastern and said that they are scamming people just ignore this call if you get it.
